Rockhampton R4 – Daimyo

🔒Best Bet

Flying since joining the new stable. Ran the fastest last 200m of the entire meet at Mackay first-up, then backed it up with a dominant win here last start. Draws perfectly again, gets in the same class, and maps to stalk the speed. In form – should be winning again.

Gold Coast R5 – Warrior For Peace

Smart debut winner over 1500m at Muswellbrook, clocking race-fastest closing splits and hitting the line hard. Tick-over trial in between, and he now lands in a very winnable BM58 in QLD. Drawn in gate 1 to be on speed or box-seat – looks better than this grade. One to follow.

Gold Coast R6 – Impendor

Tough in a Highway at Rosehill three back, then placed in both starts since at Doomben – beaten under a length last time running home in a slick 33.7s (4th-fastest L600 of the meet). Drops back from city grade and gets the race run to suit here with some speed on. Will settle within striking distance from the gate and be running on hard.

Gold Coast R8 – Tietar

Started odds-on her past two runs and hasn’t had much go her way. Forgive the latest on a heavy deck – now back on top of the ground and up in trip to 1800m, which she’s shown she relishes. Strong last prep over further. Worth another chance here – expect sharp improvement.

Orange R7 – Fun Sunday

💰Value Bet

Was excellent two back in a 78 at Canterbury, then not disgraced in G3 company latest despite being shuffled back. Now fourth-up and ready for the trip. Wide draw is the only knock, but she’s got the class edge coming out of that race. Great value chance to sneak into the finish – each way.

Geelong R6 – Grinzinger Sun

Did what good things should do first-up—won easily as a $1.60 fav and closed in 33.2 with the 2nd-fastest last 200m of the meet. Has upside and steps to 64 grade now, but maps to get a soft run just behind the speed. Yet to miss a place in four starts – should go close again.
