Kembla Grange Racing Tips – Thursday, September 18 2025

Race 3 – Bomaderry Bowling Club Super Maiden Handicap (1500m)

5 DECALOGUE – $3.50 Looks ready to peak after a narrow defeat second-up on a heavy track. Pushed forward and gave a strong kick, only grabbed late. Stays at 1400m and strips fitter. Has tactical speed to offset the wide alley and should be in it for a long way.

7 REFLECT – $15 Well tried in town and has been holding her own in deeper races. Gets the blinkers off and Chad Schofield on. Maps to get cover midfield and can finish off if the tempo is solid. Worth forgiving last start when caught between runs.

10 FASHIONABLE – $9.50 Showed something late on debut despite being unsuited by the moderate tempo. Steps up in trip and drawn to get a soft run from barrier 3. Has trialled up nicely and looks a big improver second-up. Respecting the stable placement.

Race 5 – Shoalhaven Heads Bowling & Recreation Club Midway Class 1 Handicap (1200m)

3 CHANGE MY ADDRESS – $5.50 Straight into blinkers after contesting better races. Forget last start in town when caught wide. Will appreciate the drop in class and finds a suitable race third-up. Draw is sticky but has early pace and the claim helps.

9 KONING – $26 Experienced galloper who can surprise when the tempo suits. Drawn well and gets back to 1200m off a solid trial. More suited at further but this could be a launching pad if they go quick up front.

10 EAGERLY AWAITS – $19 Tough win on debut and hasn’t been far off in two runs since. Has tactical speed and barrier 1 to her advantage. Proven on both dry and wet. Don’t dismiss if she holds her form.

Race 6 – Gerringong Bowling & Recreation Club Benchmark 64 Handicap (1000m)

2 MADRINA – $6 Freshened and has trialled up a treat. Gets in light with the claim and will press on early. Goes best when ridden aggressively and this looks a nice setup. Watch for her punching forward and proving hard to run down.

3 SUNDAY TYCOON – $17 Consistent and racing well. Latest effort was full of merit and now steps out to the 1000m again where he’s a two-time winner. Will be finishing off strongly and is one to include in exotics.

10 WHATALEGACY – $2.70 Dominant win on debut, leading throughout in good time. Has trialled well since and maps to stalk the lead again. Gets Dylan Gibbons back on and looks hard to beat if he handles the slight class rise.

Rusty’s Plays:

Best Bet: WHATALEGACY (Race 6) – Strong debut winner with upside. Has the map and momentum to go back-to-back.

Value: CHANGE MY ADDRESS (Race 5) – Forgive the last run in town. Blinkers go on and back in grade suits perfectly.

Each-Way: FASHIONABLE (Race 3) – Quiet run first-up and drawn to improve. Respecting the stable move stepping her out to 1500m.
