Mackay R3 – Head Honcho

He’s always had above-average ability and showed plenty of speed first-up last campaign. From a leading stable, I expect bigger and better things this prep! He gets the services of Ryan Wiggins, drawn ideally in gate 3 and, at his best, the one to beat!

Mackay R5 – Outback Bandit

🔒Best Bet

Ready to win! Home in 33.1 at Rockhampton last start, that was the second-fastest L600 of the entire meet. Came from last to beat Fortress Australia in cl1 company two back, and that horse has won since. Awkward gate, however, aided by a 3kg claim.

Mackay R6 – Northern Pride

He didn’t set the world on fire in a recent stint in SEQ, but his most recent effort at Townsville was huge, and if he can repeat that, he’ll win. All class, will settle off pace but should run right over the top of them.

Morphetville R5 – Flash Flood

Liked the run in 84 grade at Flemington last start. Competitive field but I think if he can repeat his effort from the last two he can take care of these coming to South Australia and Blake Shinn a key booking.

Morphetville R6 – Entrusting

💰Best Value Bet

Going to take on the fav here. Entrusting has a very strong SP profile and will be the one running on. Comes out of G2 company latest and on the fresh side for this, back to the mile should be no drama, $11 is very enticing!

Morpherville R8 – Prairie Flower

Heaps to like. Took on Jimmysstar latest and was far from disgraced, placed behind Rey Magnerio prior (ran the fastest L600 of the entire meet). Back on the home track, will go close!
