Tamworth R1 – Fingers Hunter
Comes back to a country-level class 1 after a sound effort in the city last start and was an eye-catcher from the rear of the field in 2 consecutive highway cl3 races prior.
Drawn to receive every possible and up to the mile a plus, she should be taking care of these and a win in a highway in the future would not surprise. Follow.
Tamworth R4 – Cossack Warrior
Nice horse on the up, locally trained from a good stable with the home track advantage!
He was an incredible 9L maiden winner 2 starts back and showed the makings of a progressive horse winning a bm58 following.
Has to make the step up in grade again but Aaron Bullock sticks and comes up with a nice draw.
Tamworth R6 – Ballinderry Sal
Recorded the fastest L200 of the entire meet at Scone first up, backed up with a big effort in the city in a highway class 3 last start.
Finds a country bm58 now and should be winning comfortably all bar the awkward gate.
Well over the odds in the market if she has any luck!
Echuca R2 – Grassburn
🔒Best Bet
Freshened. Shown a massive turn of foot in all starts to date and ready to win.
Drawn slightly awkwardly, which isn’t a huge concern for a horse who’s raced extremely well from off the pace in the past.
Luckless in a city maiden in her most recent start, she now has the services of John Allen. Deserved favourite and likely to break maiden here!
Echuca R4 – Big Me
Fast. Placed in last two consecutively in similar grade at Moonee Valley, and close up at Flemington before that.
Perfect race for him now, loves being up on pace and toughing it out!
Echuca R7 – He’s Our Bonneval
💰Best Value Bet
Excellent return first up down the straight at Flemington, the old timer reeled off the 8th fastest L600 of the meet.
Has missed a place just once from 5 goes second-up and was a runner up in the Mildura Cup last campaign.
Will have time to travel comfortably and find his feet and will be running on.
Sha Tin R7 – Must Go
Racing very consistently as of late, in winning touch with a good win on the all-weather track latest.
He produced the fastest L600 of the meet, 3 weeks between runs, given a quiet trial, and there is no reason he can’t go back to back!
